“the crowds in the 80's were consistency low and that was not just our place”

So much like now with the example of Man City not filling there’s in a title winning season, you mean?

So the claim by Sullivan and Gold that there is supporter demand for the London Stadium capacity to be increased to 60,000 is absolute cobblers.

We have lost our spiritual home thanks to this pair of con artists assisted by their bitch of a baroness.

Unless Pellegrini miraculously transforms himself into an effective manager there are going to be some enormous gaps over the coming weeks and months - and I don't just mean in the stands.

Part of the problem is blokes buying up child seats for ficticious kids so they and their mates can use them as upgrades whenever they choose. For just a hundred quid it's a great way to ensure a seat for the games you want to watch. For the club it means that for the shit games you're losing revenue because of thousands of non-attendees.

Another win for the world class toilet bowl.

`Can't remember anyone complaining about our support then?`

Nope can't remember anyone complaining about our home ground at the time either... the crowds in the 80's were consistency low and that was not just our place and we all know the reasons why... not fucking rocket science is it

There were 30k attendances at UP not defending the new place bulph but dont create an attendance issue when nothing has changed really. Other things have

Even in the 85/86 season we had pretty shit attendances until later in the season.

Can't remember anyone complaining about our support then?

Yep, regularly remember 10,000+ STH's at UP not turning up...

" If anybody here thinks we would automatically jump from 34k to 55k they need their heads tested. Where magically would these 20k fans come from? Season tickets were never oversubscribed at the old place."

Probably the same way we magically found an extra 10k when we developed the Boleyn Ground without a ST waiting list, and the same way you think we'd find another 10k by redeveloping the East Stand?

its their own fault for selling £100 tickets which often don't get upgraded alongside £900 seats...We generally have and spare seat most weeks.

For Wolves, I was told it was £52 to upgrade....So my mate bought a 'cheap seats' for £39, then sat with us in the seat anyway (which ...Another lost seat.....

Re: Football club attendances: Are fans getting the full picture? - long article
To be honest - we never really needed a 55-60k seater stadium. If we would have just expanded the east stand and rounded the corners, 45k would've been plenty for a club of our caliber.

As it stands - we do not have 55k hardcore, week in week out fans. If anybody here thinks we would automatically jump from 34k to 55k they need their heads tested. Where magically would these 20k fans come from? Season tickets were never oversubscribed at the old place. The fact they've reduced the prices is the only reason people buy them.

If you put prices in line with our competition, i'd be amazed to see half the take up in tickets.

It's no wonder the Cat A games have a lot less people turning up, when it's a minimum of £60 for a kid. Must be loads left unsold on Ticket Trader.

True about City.

They regularly advertise the availability of CL games on Talksport.

Considering we were absolutely awful to watch for the majority of last season, don't see why anyone would be surprised by the figures?

Man City with all their money, not filling their ground in a title winning season is more of a story.

I'm going to moan about the move until the day I die personally.

Ruined one of the only things in life I actually liked doing.

This is precisely my view as well!
